| Saturday March 7th | Sidmouth Daffodil Day | Celebrating the daffodil and the arrival of spring.Held in the grounds of
Kennaway House in the centre of Sidmouth. I actualy went to school here and grew up in
this beautiful area so love to come back and enjoy the daffodil walks the society have
provided for everyone to enjoy, for free. We will have a large range of potted daffodils
including "Sailboat" along with perennials and seasonal plants for sale

| Sunday May 3rd | Athalhampton Plant Fair-Plant Heritage | Athelhampton House will be hosting the popular Spring Plant Fair organised by Plant Heritage Dorset. The Fair will be open from 10am -3pm and will feature a large number of independent growers from across the South and South West. There will be a wide range of plants including grasses, alpines, herbs, perennials, climbers & shrubs plus some summer bedding and basket plants. Additional features include garden ornaments and an Italian Coffee Stall. The great advantage is that you can buy direct from the growers at very competitive prices and get specialist tips and advice, seldom available from Garden Centres. There are often rare and unusual varieties available. | Saturday 16 May | Yarlington House | Yarlington House, Yarlington, Somerset, BA9 8DY This pretty Manor House has an Italian sunken garden alongside a herbaceous,
shaded and kitchen garden over 2 acres. This sale is well established and is now in its 17th year. With over 30 specialist nurseries
and plant related stands including gifts and plant supports positioned in the courtyard and side garden this is naturally a very
popular sale.

| Sunday 31 May | High Glenmore Manor | Set in 12 acres of gardens designed in 1922 by H. Avray Tipping. Tipping was the Architectural Editor of Country Life magazine from 1907 until his death in 1933. Original features, once lost, have been lovingly restored by the current owners, including an Edwardian glasshouse and large pergola. | Saturday 25 to Sunday 26 July | Portishead Summer Show | The Show is an opportunity for the community – young and old to come together in the summer to showcase local talent and for local organisations and businesses to promote themselves. It is the only two day event in the Portishead social calendar and is one of the largest Shows in North Somerset. |

Nick started working as a gardener at weekends whilst at school. In 1983 he started GARDENERS DELIGHT services,
he married Hannah in 1988, a florist,
who started to grow some of the plants Nick required for his local garden services in their back garden, with the
excess sold in the local Barnstaple pannier market. As the demand for their quality plants grew,
they purchased 5 acres of farm land in Barnstaple,
which became Gardeners Delight Nursery.
This has grown to be a leading local family run nursery in North Devon which produces an extensive range of herbaceous perennials, bedding and vegetable plants, trees, shrubs, roses and clematis along with delicious fresh fruit and vegetables. 90% of these are grown on site using the skill and experience gained over 30 years of growing for the local coastal & moorland environment.
The nursery is open daily(see opening times) they also attend local farmers markets in Barnstaple, Exeter, Crediton and Bude to sell their plants, fruit and vegetables as well as specialist plant shows across the South West of England where Nick and his daughter have gained awards for their perennial garden displays.
Nicks gardening experience & design skills along with Hannah's eye for colour and detail have helped local councils, caravan parks, hotels and other local businesses win gold, national and international awards from Britain in Bloom with stunning flower displays.
With his family and crazy spaniel Poppy running the nursery Nick uses his passion and knowledge of plants and gardening to maintain, design and transform gardens locally and across North Devon for private and commercial clients.
